After the jury decided on the strongest innovative ideas, the host Khaled Al Jumaily announced the names of the top 9 that will be the eighth generation of innovators from Stars of Science!

With the support from former alumni Majed Lababidi, Amina Al Hawaj and Mohammed Watfa the chosen participants from the casting tour waited impatiently as the 5 jury members voted on which 9 will be joining and competing on Stars of Science this season.

With expertise in renewable energy, Dr. Hosni Ghedira joined the permanent jurors to locate and provide a green light to potential innovators who have solutions for the energy and environment sector in the region.

Information and communications technology was in focus this casting with Dr. Ahmed Elmagarmid part of the jury line-up to choose potential innovators who have regional solutions through ICT means.

The first casting of the season was focused on Biomedical innovations with long time Stars of Science juror Professor Abdelhamid El-Zoheiry joining forces with the permanent jurors to identify the strongest ideas in this field.
