Orientation week is designed to introduce the candidates to each other and to prepare them for their adventurous journey ahead. This season orientation week took a different route as it was designed to pushed the candidates to their maximum endurance levels in a series of physical and mental activities.
In order to identify who was fit enough to face endurance based challenges and who should place in the mental demanding activities, the candidates went through a series of psychological and physical assessments.
All 16 candidates were given online assessments to assess their Verbal Reasoning, as well as a Motivation Questionnaire and Occupational Personality Questionnaire. The results were then reviewed by an occupational psychologist, Rhonda Miller, who was able to share feedback about the candidates’ characters and personality traits.
For the physical assessment, the 16 candidates headed to Aspetar to take a series of fitness tests that would identify their performance and endurance levels. These results were then shared with the psychologist and together, with the trainers, the candidates were split up into 3 different groups.

Were assigned The Mental challenge: Lead trainer Jamie Thompson, provided the candidates with a Kit used by blue chip companies that comprised of building blocks. He assigned them several building challenges that would shed light on their team work and leadership qualities as well as learning more about themselves and each other.

Were assigned the endurance challenge that combined boot camp training with an obstacle course. : Led by a team of trained professionals, the 8 endurance-fit candidates were faced with various challenges that tested their physical abilities, endurance leadership skills, and most of all their mental strength (mind over matter).

The best swimmers were chosen to compete against each other in a timed relay race that had elements of endurance and fear. The candidates had to start off the race with a jump off a 10 meter diving board putting Khalid Aboujassoum specifically on edge.
Now that orientation week has come to an end, it is time for the journey to begin with the first phase: Proof of Concept! Daily Episodes start October 6th at 5:00PM KSA on MBC4 and will run from Saturdays till Wednesdays every week! |
